Blocked Porn Sites using OpenDNS

In my previous post i taught on How to Setup OpenDNS as an alternative to our ISP DNS Server. Now by changing the DNS Server addresses you can blocked porn sites to protect your kids against Pornographics Site.

Here's how:

For Microsoft Windows XP, 2000

   1. Open control Panel
   2. click Network Connection
   3. Right click on Local Connection Properties then select Properties
   4. on “General Tab” select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) then click Properties

   5. Click "Use the Following DNS server addresses"
   6. Change your DNS Server addresses to 208.67.222.123 and 208.67.220.123 and click OK.

For Microsoft Windows Vista and Windows 7

   1. Open Control Panel
   2. Network and Sharing Center
   3. Click on Change adapter Setting

   4. Right Click on Local Area Connection then select Properties

    5. Scroll and double click Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPVv4)

6. Select Use the following DNS server addresses: and input

Preferred DNS Server: 208.67.222.123
Alternate DNS server: 208.67.220.123
