While I was browsing the web, I found some interesting codes for Android phone which can enable/disable lots of hidden settings and show many useful information about the phone. These hidden codes can be used in any Google Android mobile phone to access things which are not accessible by default.

This code can be used to get some interesting information about your phone and battery. It shows following 4 menus on screen:

Boot your Droid X into recovery mode

It’s always good to know how to get it into recovery mode. This little trick probably won’t be used much until the Android hacking/developing crowd gains root access to our new Droid X, but you might as well know about it now. And no, this won’t brick your phone.

Instructions…

1.  Turn your phone off.
2.  Hold down “Home” and press “Power” until the Motorola logo appears.
3.  Release  ”Power” and continue to hold “Home” until an exclamation appears.
4.  Release “Home” and press the “Search” button once.
5.  Your phone will now enter recovery.

To get out of it, simply use your volume up and down buttons until “reboot system now” is highlighted and then press the camera button.

How to Move installed Apps to other Drive

Most of the time we install lots of software like games and Apps in Drive C and result in getting our drive full, I find it irritable when i need to install software and find out that my primary partition just cant hold enough of my software and i have no choice but to relocate it manually or worse uninstall some of my software installed. Reset windows user password without prompted for the old one

Do you want to reset a windows user password without prompted for the old password? You maybe thinking if its possible, because whenever you have tried to change the password from the control panel, Windows prompted for the old password. So here is a trick that let you reset the password of Windows User Account without being prompted for the old one.

Enter in Command Prompt: Press Win Key+R and type “cmd” and hit enter to open a command prompt.
In the command prompt type “net user” and hit enter. This command will show all the users account of the computer.

Changing the Password: if you want to change a user password (ex. Guest user account )

type net user guest * and hit enter

Upon hitting the Enter key you will be prompted to enter a password for the user account. Note that the  asterisk(*****) is not visible here. Put you password  and hit “Enter“. You have to retype the password again for confirmation.

and you are done! You have successfully reset the password without knowing the older password.

Note: You need to have an Administrator privilege for this trick to work!

A trick to hide your files behind JPEG image

Do have files that you consider confidential? or a files that you don't want to see by your wife or kids? then hide it behind the JPEG image. Here is a clever and simple trick to hide your files behind Jpeg images.

Here is what you need:

• WinRAR installer
• Image or Picture files 
• and the Files that you want to hide.

1. Download and install Winrar
2. Next create a Folder then put any IMAGE file and the FILES that you want to hide inside.
3. Compress the files that you want to hide by selecting the files then right click then select "Add to [Foldename]"

4. Now you will see that a new compress file is created

5. Now here is the trick: Enter to command prompt and navigate to where you put your files (in my case I created a folder in the root of drive C: ),  if you are using Windows7 just hit SHIFT + Right Click the mouse anywhere inside the folder then select "open command window here". Then type in command prompt:

 copy  /b  logo.jpg  + hidden.rar  secret.jpg

Where: logo.jpg is an image | hidden.rar is compressed file to be hidden | secret.jpg is new image files with hidden file.

6.  You will notice a secret.jpg file is created. Now you have a jpg image file with your files inside it. Now who will think that your files is hidden inside a jpg image. :)

To access the hidden files: just rename or change the extension file .jpg to .rar and you can view or extract your hidden files.

Lock your PC with a USB flash drive

PREDATOR is freeware utility that locks your PC when you are away, even if your Windows session is still opened. It uses a regular USB flash drive as an access control device. When you leave your PC you just take your USB drive with you and Predator will lock your PC. While you are away Predator records all security-related events in a log file. By reading this log, you will know if intruders have tried to use your computer while you have been away. When you return back to your PC, you put the USB flash drive in place and your PC will be unlocked.

It's easier and faster than closing your Windows session, since you do not have to retype your password when you return.

How to install Predator in your PC

1. Download and extract Predator.zip
2. Start InstallPredator.exe. When prompted for an installation folder, accept the default path "C:\Program Files\Predator2\" or select another folder on your hard drive, but do not select a folder on your USB flash drive. Never install PREDATOR on removable media.
3. After installing run the application from Windows program menu or the desktop shortcut icon.
4. You will get a message box like this

     5. Insert your USB drive and click OK to continue.
         Note: the current contents of your flash drive will be unchanged by this operation. Files on your 

                  USB drive will not be deleted nor modified in any way.

     6. Then you see the Preferences window: Here you can set the screen darkness and other options by
         checking in the check boxes.

• Type the password of your choice in the "New Password" field. You will use it to unlock your session if you lose your USB key.
• You must enter at least 6 characters, letters, figures or signs. The password is case sensitive (uppercase and lowercase letters are different).
• Check that the drive letter displayed under "USB key drive" actually matches your flash drive or choose the correct letter from the dropdown list.
• Click the "Create key" button
• Finally, click "Ok"

    7. Predator will exit after this setup procedure.
    8. Finally, click the Predator icon installed on the desktop to restart the program. When you restart
        Predator, initialization takes a few seconds, then a green ball icon should flash in the system tray.
        If the Predator icon is blinking then everything you have done is OK.

With one click you can convert your Microsoft Excel, Word or PowerPoint documents or your emails and favorite web sites to PDF files.

doPDF installs itself as a virtual PDF printer driver so after a successful installation will appear in your Printers and Faxes list and also in the list of All Programs. Using doPDF you can convert to PDF in two ways:

1. Print to PDF via the virtual printer driver doPDF. You would do this exactly as you print to a regular printer, just the result will be a PDF file, not a printed piece of paper.
2. Using the doPDF Startup window. doPDF has an executable file (accessible from the start program group) that you can run in order to start a conversion wizard.

Open the document you want to convert (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, WordPad, NotePad or any printable document), choose Print and select doPDF from the list of printers. You will be asked where to save the PDF file and when finished, the PDF will be automatically opened with your default PDF reader. Blocked Porn Sites using OpenDNS

In my previous post i taught on How to Setup OpenDNS as an alternative to our ISP DNS Server. Now by changing the DNS Server addresses you can blocked porn sites to protect your kids against Pornographics Site.

Here's how:

For Microsoft Windows XP, 2000

   1. Open control Panel
   2. click Network Connection
   3. Right click on Local Connection Properties then select Properties
   4. on “General Tab” select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) then click Properties

   5. Click "Use the Following DNS server addresses"
   6. Change your DNS Server addresses to 208.67.222.123 and 208.67.220.123 and click OK.

For Microsoft Windows Vista and Windows 7

   1. Open Control Panel
   2. Network and Sharing Center
   3. Click on Change adapter Setting

   4. Right Click on Local Area Connection then select Properties

    5. Scroll and double click Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPVv4)

6. Select Use the following DNS server addresses: and input

Preferred DNS Server: 208.67.222.123
Alternate DNS server: 208.67.220.123
